Broken Arm
While on vacation last week, Jesse had an accident in which he rolled the kids quad over the top of him. He complained a bit and defiantly favored that arm, but there was no swelling and when we would push on his arm he never showed any discomfort. We decided it must be bruised or sprained and went on with the vacation. Yesterday after watching him run and play in the irrigation, he is still favoring that arm, we decided to take him in and have it looked at. As we showed up for x-rays, the “technician” came in with his best Hulk Hogan haircut minus the bandanna. That’s right; he was totally bald except for the long mangy mullet around the sides. Needless to say Jesse was a little scared of him and even told Alysen he thought he was a Pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean. So when Jesse was less than impressed with this guy he proceeded to argue with Alysen over how to be more friendly and loving to our terrified little boy. After much arguing he left and was replaced with some more patient and loving “technicians”. Indeed the arm is BROKEN. We were informed there was a small break in the arm and sent off to have it put into a cast. It took much convincing but I think Jesse was starting to come around to the idea that a cast might be “cool”. However, when we arrived at the cast doctor, he informed us that the small break was just under his left shoulder and that casting the arm would not stabilize anything but would add weight to his shoulder and potentially hurt it even more. Our only option was to put his arm in a sling for three weeks and keep him from any and all activities that will potentially keep it from healing. In English that means no jumping on the trampoline, no running, and absolutely no rough housing with dad or brothers? Jesse is so frustrated and angry at his sling and the things that it prohibits and it has not even been 24 hours yet?

Hey, your site is starting to look more like ours! COPYCATS!!
Poor thing. The same thing happened to my brother. Hope the next 3 weeks go well.
Poor little man. Can't believe it's broken! As if he's not gonna do all that fun little boy stuff.
We're so sorry, Jesse-bug! Let us know if we can do anything. Stetson says Jesse can hold him with his good arm anytime he wants!
What a trooper for going on with the rest of the trip! Good luck keeping him down.
That's going to be so hard for him...and YOU! Good luck! Hopefully it will heal really quickly!
